2026 Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival: A Weekend of Community Fun by the Waterfront

One of Mukilteo’s most anticipated traditions returns September 11–13, 2026. The Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival—affectionately known as MukFest—brings neighbors and visitors together for a full weekend of entertainment, local food, family activities, music, and community spirit near beautiful Mukilteo Lighthouse Park.

Admission to the festival is free, making it a wonderful way to enjoy the final days of summer along the waterfront.

A Mukilteo Tradition for the Whole Family

The Lighthouse Festival offers something for nearly every age and interest. Visitors can browse vendor booths, enjoy food and refreshments, listen to live entertainment, and take in the scenery surrounding one of Mukilteo’s most recognizable landmarks.

Children’s activities are scheduled throughout the weekend, including inflatables and special appearances such as the Reptile Lady, Bubble Man, Thee Balloon Guy, and a Sunday foam party. Saturday’s entertainment also includes performances by the Kamiak Band, Taekwondo Way, and a lion dance and martial arts presentation.

The “Heart of Mukilteo” Parade

The community parade begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, in downtown Mukilteo. The “Heart of Mukilteo” Parade is always a festival favorite, filling the route with local organizations, performers, community groups, and plenty of hometown pride.

Festival buses will begin transporting paradegoers from Olympic View Middle School and Kamiak High School at 10 a.m., with a one-time drop-off near Red Cup Cafe and Rosehill Community Center. After the parade, attendees should plan to walk down to Lighthouse Park to catch a return shuttle.

Saturday Night Fireworks

Saturday’s celebration continues into the evening with fireworks scheduled for 8 p.m. The waterfront setting creates a memorable backdrop as the display lights up the sky over Mukilteo.

Popular viewing areas can fill quickly, so arriving early and using the festival shuttle is a good idea.

Live Music and the Beer Garden

Adults 21 and older can enjoy live music along with beer, wine, hard cider, and seltzer in the festival beer garden. A valid ID is required, and children, animals, and outside beverages are not permitted inside the beer garden.

Sunday Pancake Breakfast and More

Sunday begins with the Mukilteo Fire Department Pancake Breakfast and Bingo, scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to noon on the Lighthouse Lawn. The day continues with family entertainment, inflatables, live music from Savanna Woods, and the afternoon foam party.

The Mukilteo Lighthouse and gift shop are also scheduled to welcome visitors from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Festival Hours

The festival currently lists the following typical hours:

• Friday, September 11: 4–7 p.m.; beer garden open until 10 p.m.

• Saturday, September 12: 11 a.m.–7 p.m.; beer garden open until 10 p.m.

• Sunday, September 13: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

Because schedules can change, check the official festival website before heading out.

Parking and Shuttle Information

Festival parking and shuttle service will be available at Kamiak High School and Olympic View Middle School. The shuttle fare is $3 per person, while babies carried in an adult’s arms ride free. Olympic View is the designated location for ADA shuttle service and general parking; Kamiak offers general parking.

Shuttle hours are currently posted as:

• Friday: 3:30–10:30 p.m.

• Saturday: 10 a.m.–10:30 p.m.

• Sunday: 10:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Wheelchair-accessible restrooms will be available on the festival grounds, ADA-compliant cable covers will be used throughout the event, and guide animals are welcome.
